Our Staff

The education staff at GTA has over 125 years of combined experience in providing quality education to children. Not only do our teachers have early-childhood-development training, they also receive first-aid and child-safety training. They receive ongoing training in presenting the ABEKA and SRA Direct Instruction curriculum, classroom management and childhood development.

One of the prime ingredients for an effective school to function is a patient and loving staff committed to the care and education of students. Our staff works closely with local school districts as well as classroom teachers and parents to make sure that lessons and values taught during the school day are reinforced at home.

Mr. Paul A. Stoot, Sr. M.Th., Executive Director of GTA:
Has over 26 years of human social service practice and experience. He has worked relentlessly to respond to the needs of high-risk youth and families in the Everett community. He is the founder of the Learning Academy and has tirelessly worked to guide the school through the private school application process, securing speakers for fundraisers and guiding the administrative aspects of the school. He received Masters in Theology from Faith Evangelical Seminary with an emphasis in Family Services in 2007.

Mrs. Jayne Joyner, Educational Consultant

Has a M.A. in Adult Education and B.S. in Computer Information Systems from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. She has over 30 hours of ESL Certification, Reading Certification, Business Certification 6 – 12, Computer Science Certification K-12. She has over twenty years of experience in technical, business and educational environments. She has worked with youth from elementary school through community college. She is an instructor at Everett Community College and oversees the Greater Trinity Tutorial Program.

Mr. Terry Metcalf, Kindergarten Teacher:
He has his Bachelors Degree in Physical Education and a Masters Degree in Theology. He has served as a Mentor, Coach, Mental Health Supervisor, Teacher and more. During the 12 years he spent at Zion Prep, he served as a teacher in Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd and 4th grade as well as a Reading Specialist for grades K-8.

Mrs. Keyonne Turner, Pre-Kindergarten teacher: 
 Has a B.S. In Speech Communications from Tennessee State University. She has worked in education for over 10 years. She has worked with all grade levels k-12. Her experience also includes working with students with autism, special needs, and (EBD) educational behavior disorder. Mrs. Keyonne has taught (ESL) English second language internationally in South Korea. She is very culturally diverse and caters to the need of each student. She has over 20 hours of ESL certification. Mrs. Keyonne enjoys working hands-on with students. She is looking forward to sharing her knowledge and education with the Greater Trinity Academy. 

Ms. Manal Sidhom—Para-Educator:
Ms. Manal came to us originally as a student from Everett Community College who had internship requirements that needed to be fulfilled. Since joining the staff permanently, she has served as a para-educator in the Preschool class.
