EverTrust Foundation Grant Award

RISE UP ACADEMY RECEIVES A GRANT AWARD OF $20,000 FROM EVERTRUST FOUNDATION IN SUPPORT OF FAMILIES ENROLLED AT THE ACADEMY.

THE RELATIONSHIP WITH THE EVERTRUST FOUNDATION

For years Rise Up Academy has been very appreciative of the HEARTY relationship and the investment that The EverTrust Foundation has made in the school for over 10 years. We are grateful for the Grant Award of $20,000, this will cover expenses related to our Food and Nutrition Program and other programs. EverTrust Foundation established by EverTrust Bank has been a valuable champion of the school and their support continues to make a difference in the lives of our students and families at Rise Up Academy.

SAVE THE LOW-INCOME CHILDREN OF COLOR

For more than 23 years, RISE UP ACADEMY has provided exceptional quality education and have worked to close the achievement gap, which disproportionately affects low-income communities of color, particularly BIPOC families and students. This gap leads to poor educational outcomes, poor outcomes for basic health and wellness, morbidity for many medical conditions, and persistent and frequently untreated mental and behavioral health problems. The long-term goal of RUA is to have our students be successful through K-12 and beyond. We understand the importance of assisting children in sustaining academic excellence and providing a love of learning and inquisitiveness. Children’s academic progress is traced in all subjects, demonstrating our ability to have high-risk children performing at or above grade level in an integrated learning model. Therefore, the work we do at RISE UP ACADEMY is greater than ever, and our impact now changes a generation for years to come.

Don’t you think children deserve to be given the right opportunities?

WE KNOW THAT EVERY PERSON HAS IT IN THEM TO DONATE AND SUPPORT THIS BEAUTIFUL CAUSE FURTHER.

HELP KIDS BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE.

Since opening RUA we have served over 1500 students and have been widely recognized by national corporate leadership, state agencies, parents, and educators for its leadership in providing Early Learning Education for all students, regardless of household income. The school motto is: “I Can Learn Anything!” This motto is reinforced daily in all classrooms and programs, and the philosophy behind the motto helps explain the school’s well-above-average student performance. Our school offers Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten, along with teaching First and Second Grade material. There is an emphasis on STEAM subjects and CHESS for our Kindergarten and School Age students. It is the only Before and After school program in the state to implement the Accelerated Reader Program for its students. Every classroom is continually measured by state and national benchmarks, and Rise Up Academy students continually exceed those marks. The Rise Up Academy is culturally and racially diverse, with students and faculty coming from all walks of life.

Wouldn’t you want your child to receive help and achieve their highest potential?

THE MORE YOU CAN HELP, THE MORE OUR KIDS WILL EXCEL!

STORY OF OUR THREE-YEAR-OLD PRODIGY

Rise Up students consistently perform better than the national benchmarks in every classroom.

One example is a student named Ivan, who comes from a low-income family of color. Thanks to our school’s accelerated reader program, Ivan is now reading at a level equivalent to a second-grader and is improving day by day. This shows that nothing is impossible, especially when guided by a state-of-the-art program such as Rise Up Academy.

Let’s redefine quality; don’t you think children deserve to become scholars at a young age?

Both the Rise Up Academy’s enrollment and our collaboration with ARISE Community Development Corporation to provide low-cost, affluent housing is anticipated to double in the near future.
